Chard Chips

Bunch of swiss chard leaves

Olive oil

Choice of seasonings: salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, seasame seeds, or cayenne.

Parchment paper

- Separate the leaves from the center stems. (The stems are not needed in this recipe so you may wish to use them ina salad rather than discarding them altogether.) Cut leaves into large chip sizes and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with favorite seasonings.

- Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Be sure to keep an eye on these as they can burn quickly and then are not enjoyable to eat.

- Aggie Flynn, a BGF CSA member suggests putting chard pieces and olive oil into an old bread bag and toss thoroughly to evenly coat each leaf chip.
